It works–just got automated notice on two bills

by Larry Geller

See: How to track bills in the Legislature by email, SMS or even telephone calls (3/28/2013)

The method of getting notifications of bill progress in the Hawaii state legislature is working well for me. I got an SMS (text) message that HB31 has passed its committee (with amendments)—that’s the bill that criminalizes sleeping at bus stops.

And just as I am typing this article, another text came in to say that HB120, care home complaint posting, has passed 2nd reading and has been referred to Ways and Means, its final stop in the Senate.

Update: I wanted to try the phone call notification method once. It also works nicely. I just (at 4:45 p.m.) received a phone call that the PLDC repeal bill passed the committee. It even read me the committee votes!
