Four days only to catch Stephen Colbert in the film of the Broadway production of “Company”

by Larry Geller

Tonight, tomorrow, Sunday and Tuesday. Those are the days that Consolidated Theaters Kahala Mall will be running the film of the New York Philharmonic production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony award-winning musical, Company.

If you have never experienced Colbert with the “t”, tuning in first to Terry Gross’s Tuesday interview may convince you to get some tickets. The interview is on the web at Stephen Colbert: In Good 'Company' On Broadway. From that page you can listen, download a copy to your mp3 player, get a transcript, and find links to additional material and a film trailer.

Colbert never mentioned his Broadway appearance on his show. In the interview he explains why.

Given the limited run, chances are the theater will be mobbed, so grabbing advance tickets from the Consolidated Theaters web page may be a good idea. There you will find out, though, that they are asking $18 plus a $1.25 fee to lock that down. Ouch.
