Largest Power Plant & Longest Transmission Line proposed in Hawai`i

The State of Hawai`i has released the Environmental Impact Statement Preparation Notice for the largest energy project in Hawai`i history including the largest amount of power that would be brought on at one time (400 MW) and the longest transmission line ever built at one time in Hawai`i (up to 200 miles connecting Oahu-Lana`i-Moloka`i-maybe Maui)

The comment period for the State EISPN goes until the first week in January.
The comment period for the Federal EISPN goes until March.

Life of the Land filed their comments early to stimulate public discussion.
