Why there are so few Republicans in government in Hawaii

Everyone else has noticed that our economy has already been “devastated,” and not by Obama but by Bush and his Republican appointees. If you dig deeper, it all started with Reagan and massive deregulation. Obama (if he is elected) will have the enormous task of rebuilding the country’s economy and regaining trust that it is sound from leaders around the world.
It’s leadership like this that has “devastated” the Republican party in Hawaii during Lingle’s tenure, leaving the state almost without an opposition party.
