more later…

by Larry Geller

I’ve been writing and sending in testimony this week. There are, as usual, some good bills and some bad bills. So I’ll have to catch up with blogging later today.

This morning HB1047 will be heard at 9 a.m. It is a strange bill. If legislators approve it, they will be cutting their own throats should their medical insurance deny them some procedure or medication. It takes away their right to an external review under the Patients’ Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. Along with other public employees, etc. And of course, once the review process is killed, insurers can be counted on to ramp up denials.

So off I go to tell them about it.

See you later.
