Ken O’Keefe speaks out on Mavi Marmara attack

by Larry Geller

Somehow I missed that Ken O’Keefe, survivor of the Mavi Marmara massacre, has a Hawaii connection. Thanks to Anonymous, who posted this comment to an earlier article:

Ken OKeefe advocate for Hawaii rights and sovereignty (from Hawaii, producer of film: The United States of Hypocrisy) was beat up badly on the Marvi Marmara ship. He also made it to Dublin:

Israeli commando 'to get valor medal'
By Press TV
An Israeli commando who shot dead several activists in a recent attack on a Gaza-bound international aid convoy may receive a medal of valor, a report says.
The Times Online reported on Saturday that the nominated Israeli soldier single-handedly killed six campaigners on the Turkish ship, Mavi Marmara -- one of the six ships of the Freedom Flotilla.

Check out this link: Ken O'keefe speaks out as a witness of flotilla attack (6/7/2010). Do read it, it’s a very powerful statement.

I found this, among many other references:

After leaving the US Marines in 1992, I lived in Hawaii where I became an environmental activist. The Hawaiian people are thoroughly oppressed, but they became my true family (Counterpunch, Diary of a Human Shield, 2/26/2003)

Thank you, Larry. I will send a link to his wife.
