Chance to get on the phone with Barak Obama today and talk health care reform

by Larry Geller

For real, I think, though of course you’d have plenty of company on the conference call.

Tikkun’s Rabbi Michel Lerner announced a conference call with Obama in an email (it wasn’t on their website when I looked). Here’s the info on the phone call (the time translates to 11 a.m. Hawaii time):

Join the national call-in with President Obama tomorrow -- Wednesday, August 19th --  at 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time. 2 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.  Simply log on to faithforhealth.org in the minutes approaching the call, or dial 347-996-5501 (no pass code, long-distance charges may apply). Because of the large call volume expected, listening online is the preferred way of participating. And if you log in, they will also ask you for your question or point to be made to the President.

Rabbi Lerner suggests reading his recent article on his website and also this op-ed from the New York Times: This is reform? Even if you don’t plan to call, check out that article.
