HB128--let it die

by Larry Geller

The Senate overrode HB128. Darn, I hate depending on what the House will do.

HB128 is the bill that increases the limit on out-of-state contributions to Hawaii legislators and allows them to buy community support by contributing to libraries, etc.

So now it's up to the House, where override is not certain. It was on the "question mark" list early this morning.

But who knows. You CAN still reach your representative via email—to reps@capitol.hawaii.gov. So ask them to just "let HB128 die." Many of them watch emails while on the floor.

The speaker just announced that the medical marijuana bill has been added at the end of the agenda. I don't have the number handy, but you could also email asking that reps support medical marijuana.
