More on Superferry steering for aficionados

Lee Tepley offers a look beneath the waterline at Superferry steering on his website here. I should add that unless someone actually looks below the waterline, all that has appeared so far is speculation. It's interesting, though, and I've learned all sorts of things I never knew.
How to learn more? I doubt if the ferry company wants to talk about it, but perhaps the Coast Guard might.
