Senator Daniel Akaka interviewed on Democracy Now
Hawaii's junior senator, Daniel Akaka, was interviewed on Democracy Now on Friday, May 4, 2007. Sen. Daniel Akaka answered Amy Goodman's questions on repealing Congressional authorizaation for the war in Iraq, on Lt. Ehren Watada's opposition and court martial, on whether his bill will lead to Hawaiian sovereignty, and on the Real ID Act.

The program was carried on over 500 stations across the country. It's very seldom that Native Hawaiian issues are covered on the Mainland.
